Escuelas Solar, in collaboration with ALCED (Latin American Association of Single-Sex Education), will organize the 5th Latin American Congress on Single-Sex Education, with the title "The main challenges of education in the 21st century”. The Congress will take place in Curitiba (Brazil) on the next 23rd and 24th of October.

ALCED congresses are held every three years, the most recent ones in Argentina (2009) and Colombia (2012). 

This Congress in Curitiba wants to spread this educational model in Brazil and provide a space for reflection and dialogue on the opportunities of single-sex schools to contribute to the challenges of educating young people in today's society. In addition, the conference will be an opportunity to strengthen partnership with other Latin American entities adopting this educational model, establish ties with professionals from different countries and schools to present single-sex education in the media as an innovative proposal.
